Butler Rural Electric Cooperative attempted to issue capital credits checks to these former members in 2018. The checks were mailed to people who had electric service from Butler Rural Electric Cooperative in 2002, 2003, and/or 2017. The checks were returned as undeliverable by the U.S. Postal Service.
The publication of this list in the January issue of Ohio Cooperative Living magazine (pages 18D to 20) is the official notification of unclaimed checks. We will also mail postcards to the member’s last-known address. According to Butler Rural Electric Cooperative’s code of regulations, if capital credits checks remain unclaimed after four years from the date of payment, the unclaimed funds will be reallocated to active members following these notices.
If your name is listed, contact Butler Rural Electric Cooperative by calling 513-867-4400 so we can update your mailing address and send your capital credits check. If you know an individual or organization on the list, please have them contact the cooperative’s office. If you recognize a name on the list and the person is deceased, please have one of their relatives contact the cooperative.
