Board Member Jay Hasbrook

Board member Jay Hasbrook recently received the Director Gold certification from NRECA, the national service organization for the 900 electric cooperatives in the United States. 

The Director Gold certification consists of issue- and skill-based courses for board members. Jay earned the certificate after earning the Credentialed Cooperative Director and Board Leadership certifications. Jay is the board member for District 4, which includes German Township in Montgomery County and Gratis Township in Preble County. He lives in Gratis Township and has been a board member for five years. 

Board members receive training to understand their roles and responsibilities and to have the knowledge and skills to govern Butler Rural Electric Cooperative. Board members attend training courses to learn about board governance, financial decision-making, strategic planning, and current and emerging issues.
